Flying to the Moon Gift Box

Flying to the Moon

Flying to the Moon is a gift box designed for moon cakes. The packaging takes the form of a traditional Chinese palace lantern. Circular illustrations draw on Chinese mythology and include the Jade Hare, the Moon Palace and the Apsaras of the Dunhuang murals. A multi-layer three-dimensional structure and a die-cutting process add visual depth. Once the moon cakes are removed, an LED module in the base can be switched on and the transparent PVC case and the hollowed-out outer case can be reinstalled, turning the box into a decorative lantern.

The graphic elements are intended to help the cans stand out on the shelf and attract the attention of buyers. Many designs for classic drinks look plain and similar, so a modern visual language was chosen. Drunk Bartender shows that classic drinks can also be presented in a modern style.
